Windsor, Ontario, Canada - 5 – 6 June, 2010
Windsor is the southernmost city in Canada and is located in South-western Ontario at the end of the heavily populated Quebec City. Windsor is known as the city of roses and is separated from the American Detroit by the Detroit River.
Prior to the European exploration and settlement, the town was inhabited by native American people. By the mid-18th century, French people settled in Windsor and the area got called “Petite Côte”(Little Coast) as opposed to the longer coastline on the Detroit side of the river. Windsor’s French heritage is still today reflected in many French street names as well as by a significant French-speaking minority. After the American Revolution at the end of the 18th century, the city was renamed after the English town.
The economy is primarily based on manufacturing, tourism, education and government services. It is one of Canada’s major automobile manufacturing centres and is often referred to as the automotive capital of Canada.
The race in Windsor will certainly be an exciting moment to share between the pilots and the audience. From the weather point of view, the greatest temperatures ever recorded in Windsor happened during a month of June!
In 2009, the Windsor Red Bull Air Race was one of the most sensational races of the championship, and it has now been confirmed for two additional seasons, until 2011. We can expect thousands of fans to be standing at the Detroit River waterfront!
If after such a stimulating moment you still need some action, you can still gamble at the Caesars Windsor!

New York City and Jersey City, USA
The fifth race of the 2010 Red Bull Air Race World Championship season will be held over the Hudson River on June 19 and 20. The audience will be watching the best race pilots compete against the spectacular skylines of some of the world’s great cities. It will be an unforgettable experience!
The Hudson River is a 507 km river that flows from north to south through eastern New York. It rises at Lake Tear of the Clouds, on the slopes of Mount Marcy in the Adirondack Mountains, before emptying into Upper New York Bay.
The river always had a very important role to play in the New York State history and the economical and social life. Not only transports but also other life aspects are organised around it.
On January 15th, 2009, the captain of the US Airways Flight 1549 became a hero after landing successfully the plane with no casualties on the Hudson River.

Lausitz, Germany
The Red Bull Air Race World Championship returns to Germany in 2010. The race will be held at the motorsports race circuit EuroSpeedway on 7 – 8 August and will be the only race held over land this year.
The racetrack is only 90 km away from the Czech border and about the same distance from Berlin.
The EuroSpeedway grandstand, the largest and most modern in Europe, will provide spectators with a unique perspective of the race, enabling them to view not just the race itself but also the pit lanes where the hangars of the 15 pilots and their teams will be set up directly in front of the grandstand. This will give the crowd a first-hand glimpse of how the pilots prepare their powerful 540-kg propeller planes for the race and they will be able to watch the pilots take off and land from the runway which will be located close by.
